Grand Jury Indicts Walla Walla Man on Gun and Drug Charges

 

On July 12, 2018 a Baker County Grand Jury indicted Enrique Olmos (dob 02/78) of 9 West Chestnut St. Walla Walla, Washington) on four felony gun and drug charges. Olmos was indicted on Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Cocaine and Unlawful Delivery of Cocaine. The indictment also alleges the aggravating factor of possessing a substantial quantity of cocaine that consists of an amount greater than 10 grams.

 

On July 5th, 2018, Olmos was pulled over by Oregon State Police troopers while travelling in his vehicle eastbound on Interstate 84. During the course of a search of Olmos’ vehicle, approximately 26 grams of cocaine was found in his possession. Also hidden in the vehicle was a .380 semi-automatic handgun. Olmos had previously been convicted on April 4, 2018 in Walla Walla County, Washington Superior Court for felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Olmos was arraigned in Baker County Circuit Court on July 12, 2018 and bail was set at $67,500 full bail. A pre-trial hearing was set for July 31, 2018.
